MR.5 series garbage trucks were designed at 'Ryazhsky ARZ' JSC as special vehicles based on vehicles with gas engines, but due to successful design solutions and the use of modern construction materials, the vehicles proved themselves perfectly on the basis of traditional diesel chassis.

Modification of the manipulator with increased strength allowed to increase its reliability, as well as facilitated access to the chassis of the garbage truck for repair. Changes in the design of the press chamber and compaction plate allowed to increase the compaction ratio to 1:6, and the new storage part of the body lightened the total mass of the municipal vehicle without losing its strength characteristics.

The garbage truck with a side (top) loading of the MR.5 series is a special equipment installed on the automobile chassis, which includes:

·         a body with a pressing plate and a tailgate;

·         a subframe;

·         a manipulator with a gripper for mechanized collection of wastes accumulated in containers of all existing standards: EN 840-1, DIN 30740, DIN 30700, EN 840-2, EN 840-3, box-shaped metal containers from 700 to 1300 l;

·         a hydraulic system with the automated electro-hydraulic control of the press plate drive and with manual hydraulic distributors for controlling the actuating hydraulic cylinders. The front part of the body (the press chamber) is characterized by reduced overall dimensions sufficient for waste collection.
