The materials were selected, mass-dimensional and energy characteristics were optimized in order to ensure load capacity, minimum loading time, limitation of noise impact, reliability and service life. The equipment meets the requirements of the Technical Regulation of the Customs Union ʻOn the Safety of Wheeled Vehiclesʼ TR CU 018/2011 and we confirm compliance with the requirements of current standards, including the Directives UNI-EN 1 501 -1 -2007, EN 1 501 -2-2008 for vehicles for public utilities. The most important innovation in municipal vehicles - garbage trucks MK-4548 is the increased productivity of the pressing mechanism, which provides double exceeding of requirements and makes 1 full cycle in 26 - 28 seconds. The body is a welded frame metal construction consisting of steel sheets with thickness of 4 mm steel 09G2S, channels and steel square tubes in the base and closed front and rear contours. Unloading plate - consists of a steel plate reinforced with profiles and a frame with guide elements. In the lower part of the plate there is a central pivot for attaching a double-acting telescopic hydraulic cylinder. To avoid misalignment, the unloading plate moves along the body along the side guides located on the side panels of the body. The plate is a moving front wall of the body. During loading, it serves as a resistance element to the pressure of the waste to be compacted. The hydraulic control system, by regulating the step-by-step movement of the unloading plate during the loading process, ensures that the waste is pressed evenly over the entire body volume. In addition, the unloading plate unloads waste from the body when the tailgate is open. The tailgate is a welded metal structure and serves for fixing the compacting mechanism in it. The tailgate is pivotally hinged to the body at its upper part and is held in the lower part by clips. The side panels of the tailgate are equipped with two guides with 3 mm thick wear plates made of Hardox 450 steel. The feed plate of the pressing mechanism runs along the guides of the tailgate. At the bottom of the tailgate, between the side walls, the hopper is welded in with the capacity of 2.5 m3. For draining liquid fractions from the loading hopper there are two openings closed by screw plugs or cocks. Gantry mechanism - the main elements of the gantry mechanism are booms mounted on the tailgate and outriggers mounted on the body. The drive of moving elements of the gantry mechanism is hydraulic. The gantry mechanism boom is a welded metal structure consisting of left and right beams fastened together by a cross bar and two catchers limiting the movement of the container relative to the tailgate in the process of reloading. The boom is pivotally hinged to the tailgate supports. The boom is raised and lowered by two hydraulic cylinders. A metal container with the volume of 7.8 - 8.0 m3 is attached to the boom by means of a suspension consisting of four chains with hooks. The pressing mechanism consists of a feed plate (carriage) and a press plate (knife) articulated with it, moving along two guides. The pressing mechanism is mounted on the tailgate. The feed plate (carriage) is a rigid steel structure reinforced with profiles. The feeder plate moves along the two guides of the tailgate, ensuring loading and pressing at a speed of 1 cycle in 30 sec. or about 5.0 m3 per 1 min. The feed plate (carriage) to which the press plate (knife) is attached is made of Hardox 450 steel, is driven by two hydraulic cylinders and moves in the side guides of the tailgate. Modern polymer materials with long service life in dirty conditions (antifriction material (caprolon) are used in the friction units. The press plate (knife) is hinged to the lower part of the infeed plate. The knife is a rigid steel structure reinforced with ribs. With the help of hydraulic cylinders, the knife can be rotated to clean the hopper from the loaded waste and when the carriage is lifted, it presses the waste into the body.
