Sorrow and condolence

On November 28, at the age of 72, Yuri Pavlovich Kalmykov, General Director of 'Ryazhsky Avtoremontniy Zavod' JSC, passed away prematurely.

Almost the whole life of Yuri Pavlovich is connected with this enterprise. Here in 1973, after graduation from Ryazan Agricultural Institute he began his labor activity as a design engineer. At once he showed himself a competent, responsible specialist, showing initiative in the search for new technical solutions, and was appointed to the position of senior engineer for production preparation. Then, he held key positions in the management of the plant, and in June 1987 he became the head of the enterprise.

The great merit of Yuri Pavlovich Kalmykov is that it was him who stood at the head of the team of like-minded people who managed to keep the automobile repair plant afloat during the economic crisis of the 90s. He managed to reorient the production, preserving its capacities and personnel. New products – the machinery for public utilities were designed and gradually they won their niche in the market, and became competitive and now are in great demand. Yuri Pavlovich Kalmykov lived and worked for this purpose.

Thanks to the personal initiative of the general director, the staff of the automobile repair plant has always actively participated in the life of the town of Ryazhsk and the district as a whole. The enterprise assisted in the  city improvement, solving various technical tasks to create memorable places. ARZ patronized secondary school № 4. The list of good deeds of Yuri Pavlovich and his team is huge.

Repeatedly, Yuri Pavlovich Kalmykov was elected a deputy of representative bodies of Ryazhsky district.

For many years of labor, professionalism and success in production activities, Yuri Pavlovich Kalmykov has been repeatedly recognized with various awards. He is an honorary citizen of Ryazhsk.

We are saddened by the untimely death of a real engineer, skillful manager, and wonderful man Yuri Pavlovich Kalmykov, and express our deepest condolences to his family and friends. The memory of him will always remain in our hearts.
